Coronavirus (COVID‑19): guidance and support Following the Prime Minister's statement on COVID-19 on Tuesday, we have included all the links to all the government guidance which may be of interest to you as a resident or business owner.  The advice is still - stay alert We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:

  • stay at home as much as possible

  • work from home if you can

  • limit contact with other people (The more people you have interactions with, the more chance the virus has to spread. Therefore, try to limit the number of people you see - especially over short periods of time.)

  • keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)

  • wash your hands regularly

Government outlines support for pubs, cafes and restaurants More pubs, restaurants and cafes will be able to serve customers outdoors in plans announced by the government.  ►New guidance for reopening of museums, galleries and the heritage sector The Prime Minister has announced that museums, galleries and heritage attractions will be able to open from 4 July.  ►Pubs, restaurants and hairdressers to reopen from 4 July Practical guidelines published to help restaurants, pubs and hairdressers reopen safely.  ►New government guidance supports reopening of tourism and visitor attractions on July 4 Guidance on Tourism and the Visitor Economy will help to get the tourism sector back up and running so the public can safely take domestic holidays and visit attractions on days out.  ►Working Safely Tool To help employers reopen their business safely, there is this online tool to identify the most relevant guidance for each business. The guidance helps people to carry out a risk assessment and make sensible adjustments to the site and workforce. Employees can also use this guidance to check what their workplace needs to do to keep people safe. This guidance is only for businesses that are allowed to reopen in England and can be found here:
