Call for sites update 

We have now published the full list of sites submitted to us for consideration, looking at growth options from 2033 to 2041.

No decision has been made on whether the sites will be allocated for development in the Local Plan Review. Every site will be robustly assessed to determine whether they are suitable, available and achievable for development, which will then go to our Local Plan Sub-Committee for councillors to consider whether they should be allocated for development or not.

We are now updating the Evidence Base, a collection of documents which guide and inform planning policies and proposals to shape a revised Local Plan before further public consultation.

Our future 'Preferred Options' consultation will be an opportunity for you to comment on the proposed new sites where new homes, jobs and other facilities could be located to meet our needs from 2033 to 2041. This will include detail on the current sites in the Local Plan, new sites planned for development from 2033 and alternative options of sites we have not deemed suitable or achievable for development. It will also contain updated and new policies that we would use to decide planning applications.
