Christmas & New Year bin collection changes

This year, the changes to waste collections are unusual, as Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day all fall on a weekend. The three bank holidays are automatically carried over into the following weeks, so our crews will not have time to complete a full week’s work collecting from all households across the district.

To minimise disruption to residents and get back to normal as quickly as possible, ALL household collections will be suspended in the week between Christmas and New Year.

In early January we will collect recycling sacks, grey bins and food bins on the same day, in a one-off special collection (garden waste is suspended until spring). See below for the revised special collection date.

Glass recycling bank collections
