click it local - for businesses
Like many other Local Authorities in our region, we have partnered up with Click It Local to support local independent businesses.
Click It Local is a virtual high street. The website allows local independent shops to showcase their products to customers. Shoppers can buy items online – from multiple outlets – and have them delivered in one delivery. They will also be able to arrange 'click & collect' collections.
Under the scheme, Click It Local will collect sold items from local businesses and take them to a hub, where customer orders are consolidated and then delivered to local customers across the Essex area.
The initiative is being launched across Mid and North Essex.
The service will enable local independent shops to compete with other online retailers on convenience and choice. Shops can set-up a click & collect or delivery service in minutes. Click It Local will take care of the rest by managing the logistics and marketing.
The steps are simple:
Setup your shop profile with any smartphone, tablet or computer
Add unlimited products
Receive online orders and payments
Track all sales, deliveries and collections
Orders are collected and delivered by Click It Local at no extra cost (the customer pays a delivery charge starting from £3.50).
There is no sign-up fee. We will pay the membership fee to Click It Local on behalf of local businesses for the first 6 months after launch. Retailers will pay 7.5% commission on sales thereafter and a 1.4% + 20p stripe fee.
