Notice of casual vacancy

Further to the recent notice about becoming a Parish Councillor, the time has passed for an election to be held and so the Parish Council would like to co-opt a new Councillor to Steeple Bumpstead Parish Council.

If you think you have what it takes or have something great to offer the village, Parish Council and community and you pass the 3 listed disqualification criteria then please get in touch and tell us why you could be our next Councillor - we are looking forward to hearing from you!

Disqualifications for becoming a parish councillor:

1 You are the subject of a bankruptcy restrictions order or interim order.

2 You have been sentenced to a term of imprisonment of three months or more during the past 5 years.

3 You have been disqualified under the Representation of the People Act 1983 (which covers corrupt or illegal electoral practices and offences relating to donations).
