We are pleased to let you know that we are partially reinstating the Garden Waste Collection Service initially on a four-weekly cycle and is due to restart on Monday 18 May.
Over the next couple of weeks, keep an eye out for a postcard coming through your letterbox letting you know when your first collection will be.
As the existing Collection Calendars still show the original dates before the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, your postcard will also have a REFERENCE CODE on the back so you will be able to check your next 4-weekly recycling day via our website. Please avoid ringing us to check your collection date before you have received your postcard, as our phone lines are very busy at the moment and we are trying to keep them available for those who do not have access for the internet.
We will send you regular updates on the Garden Waste Collection Service and our other services in our e-newsletters, social media channels and the Council Page printed in the Braintree & Witham Times and Halstead Gazette. In the meantime, we will continue to keep the service under review and adapt according to our government’s guidance.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the service suspension and would like to thank you for bearing with us during this difficult time and for the lovely messages you have been sending and posting on social media showing your support for the crews.
