Let's keep COVID in check- 5 things you can do
It's still important that as we continue along the roadmap out of lockdown, we still stay safe. Here are five things you can do as stated by Dr Mike Gogarty, Director of Public Health at Essex County Council...
1. Take a test
Don’t risk it even if you’re not showing Covid-19 symptoms. Test yourself regularly, especially before meeting with friends and family.
2. Get vaccinated
The Covid-19 vaccine is the best protection we have against becoming seriously ill with the virus. Take up the vaccine when invited to and make sure you have both doses. If you're aged 25 or over, or if you turn 25 before 1 July 2021, you can now book your vaccine.
3. Keep your distance
We’re all looking forward to seeing friends and family members but, wherever possible, continue to limit physical contact with anyone you don’t live with.
4. Keep it covered
Continue to wear a face covering wherever possible when required. Face coverings will help to reduce the likelihood of passing on the virus, particularly if you’re not showing symptoms.
5. Keep it clean
Washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using hand sanitiser regularly throughout the day will reduce the risk of catching or passing on the virus.
Together, let’s keep Covid in check!
