Remember your own pen / pencil, vote safely

Because of COVID-19, there will be safety measures in place at polling stations to help you

vote safely on Thursday, May 6.

Voters will be asked to:

•             wear a face covering (unless exempt)

•             bring their own pen or pencil

•             use hand sanitiser when entering and leaving the polling station

•             keep to social distancing guidelines and follow any one way systems in place

Voters should not visit the polling station if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been

asked to self-isolate. In these circumstances voters will be able to apply for an emergency proxy vote instead.

Any residents who have any questions can contact the elections team at Braintree District Council on 01376 552525 or visit the council website:  www.braintree.gov.uk/elections
