REMINDER - WORKS TO START 29/9 FOR 2 WEEKS

Advance notice: Old Hall Culvert strengthening works

We would like to make you aware that arrangements are in place to repair works on Old Hall Culvert located on Old Hall Lane, Steeple Bumstead, Haverhill CB9 7EJ. Works are due to begin on Monday 29 September 2025 and anticipated to take approximately two weeks to complete.

To make the culvert stronger and more durable, we will be fitting a special liner which is designed to support highway loads and carries a minimum design life of 100 years. We will also be carrying out brickwork repairs to the existing headwalls.

In order to carry out these works in a safe manner, a road closure will be in place on Old Hall Lane at the culvert during weekdays. The road will be open to traffic during weekends.

Residents in the immediate vicinity will shortly receive a letter providing details (example letter attached).
