Temporary closure of water lane 10th-22nd December

The Essex County Council (Water Lane, Steeple Bumpstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Water Lane, Steeple Bumpstead in the District of Braintree, 100m NE of Queen Edith Drive for approximately 180m NE.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 10/12/2021 to 22/12/2021 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while surface water connection works (S50-1658) are undertaken.

The alternative route will be via B1053, Brent Hall Road, B1057, Finchingfield Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 10/12/2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
