vote in safety - look at the options
On Thursday 6 May 2021 residents in the Braintree District are due to go to the polls to have their say on who represents them at Essex County Council and who the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex will be. We’re making plans to help you stay safe at the polling station at the elections in May. We want you to know that:
polling stations will be safe places to vote but you are more than welcome to bring your own pencil to use if you would prefer.
there are a range of voting options open to you such as postal and proxy votes. Visit: www.braintree.gov.uk/votingoptions
those who would prefer to vote by post should apply early to give us plenty of time to process your application. More here: www.braintree.gov.uk/postalvotes The deadline for receiving postal vote applications is 5pm on Tuesday 20 April 2021.
