Bumpstead Brook Overgrowth

The Environment Agency have been asked to attend and maintain the Bumpstead Brook which is badly overgrown. Ref 02192883.

They have responded as follows; we are aware of the brambles ,trees, reeds and silt and are currently seeking funding for vegetation clearance works along the section from Helions Brook up to the footbridge by Church Street, if this gets the go ahead we will look to complete sometime in November. Once all that is out the way we can then assess next steps regarding the silt build up in the channel.

The Parish Council will provide an update if received.
