Household Support Fund Awareness Week (16th-22nd October)

The Household Support Fund, administered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), assists households in need, dealing with the ever-increasing cost of living.

Thanks to the funding from the Household Support Fund, Essex County Council has been able to strengthen the Essential Living Fund, which is a crucial resource aimed at helping individuals facing vulnerabilities to cover the costs of essential items. The Essential Living Fund can provide support with:

• Acquiring furniture

• Furnishing homes with necessary items

• White goods

• Covering general living expenses, including groceries, toiletries and fuel
