Now in its 18th year, Recycle Week is the nation’s biggest annual celebration of recycling. This Recycle Week, we are supporting Recycle Now and getting real, about where we are, where we want to be and how we’re all going to get there, together.

Recycling the right things is a way we can all help improve our district’s overall recycling rate. Thanks to your efforts, we are currently recycling over 50% of waste collected, however, there is always room for improvement and if we all make a bit of extra effort, together we can make a big difference.

In fact, recycling in the UK saves 18 million tonnes of CO2 a year – all these factors reduce greenhouse gas emissions which lead to climate change.

If you wonder what happens to your recycling after it is collected, please see our new video.
