Waste / recycling consultation now open - have your say on potentially 5 bins per household and revised collection schedules

Message from Braintree Council.

We have launched an eight-week public consultation on a proposed new approach to the collection of waste across the district aimed at improving recycling rates, reducing waste to landfill, reducing the cost of waste collection and disposal, and ensuring compliance with the Government’s Simpler Recycling policy.

The consultation can be accessed online by using a QR code or via our new engagement portal. The consultation opened on Monday, 6 January 2025 and will run for an eight-week period, closing on Sunday, 2 March 2025.

We hope that as many residents as possible will complete the survey as their feedback is important and will help shape the future of the service.
